installing recent octave on SuSE Linux and SUN Solaris 10

Hello,

Could somebody provide some advise on the most up to date version of
Octave that can be installed on a SUN CLUSTER super computer having
the following exploitation systems:
- SuSE Linux Entreprise Server 9 (kernel 2.6.5-7.97-smp x86_64) on the
calcul nodes
-SUN Solaris 10 in the management nodes
??

No idea, as I have no idea what the implications of installing on a
sun cluster are.. There is a 2.9.12 release for SUSE however.. Try
asking at ***@octave.org
