If you have an Octave problem, try to ask and maybe someone will answer :)

I haven't got an Octave problem - yet. I am undecided between Matlab
(expensive!) and Octave. I joined this newsgroup to find out how much
support is there in Octave. Usually when you join a newsgroup, the
last 50 postings are downloaded, but something funny happened when I
tried this, I got error messages about blocked pipelines and when at
last I did get onto the newsgroup, there was nothing. So at least you
have shown me that somebody is reading this newsgroup and help is
available.

Most requests for helps and answers go through the Octave users list
<help-***@octave.org>. Look at the web site on octave.org to see the
list archive and you will see that there is a lot of activity there.

However, some of those on the list also monitor this group, and usually
answers are given here too.
